What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits: keeping you logged in, remembering a preference, or measuring how the site is used in aggregate. On its own, a cookie does not identify your name or access other files on your device.
Cookies we use
We separate cookies into two groups depending on whether or not they need your consent, following the criteria of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the cookie guidelines of the AEPD (Spanish Data Protection Agency).
Necessary — always active, no consent required
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you logged in (Supabase Auth). Without this cookie you could not stay signed in between pages. | Until you log out |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Verifies that whoever completes the sign-up or log-in form is not a bot. | Session |
NEXT_LOCALE | First-party functional cookie. Remembers the last language you viewed (Spanish or English) so that pages without a version in both languages are shown to you in that language. | 1 year |
These cookies are essential for the platform to work or store a preference you chose (such as the language): they cannot be selectively disabled without losing the ability to log in, complete the forms or keep that preference.
Analytics — only if you accept them
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_*, _gid | Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It helps us understand which pages are visited and how users browse, in aggregate — we do not sell or share this data for advertising purposes. | Up to 13 months |
These cookies are only activated if you choose "Accept" in the notice that appears when you enter the site, or later from "Cookie preferences" in the footer. As long as you have not accepted them, Google Analytics does not record your visit.
How to change your choice
You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any section of the site — it reopens the same notice you saw when you entered, without having to delete anything manually. You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings; keep in mind that blocking the necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in.
